What is Barre?
Barre fitness is a ballet-inspired workout that focuses on isometric holds, small range movements, and dynamic stretching. Most classes involve a ballet barre which is used for core and leg-focused exercises.
At the start of class, you’ll be led through a warm-up before moving to the barre to focus on legs and your glutes. The exercises are repetitive to ensure muscle-burnout and proper focus on form and alignment. Then, you’ll make your way to the mat for more Pilates and core-focused exercises. Expect a muscle-shaking and rhythmic workout that will leave you wanting more.

Barre classes are ballet-inspired, so there is a learning curve, but it’s worth it! Once you make the mind-body connection in the different dance movements, you’ll enjoy the rhythm and flow in a Barre lesson. With regular practice, you’ll feel lighter, stand taller, and be stronger than ever.
